Mike Posner "31 Minutes to Take Off" - Album Review

Hey everyone! I decided to do a lil album review for Mike Posner's debut album "31 Minutes to Take Off". Alright, "Bow Chicka Wow Wow" took a while to grow on me, but it is definitely a stand out track on the album. A real grown sounding r&b song (minus the cheesy title) and it really hits once the guitars come in on the chorus (provided by thaat guy that i posted on below... Bruno Mars). Please don't go is sort of similar to "Cooler than me". Uptempo synthy-pop dance track. A good song none the less and will probably be one of the single's do to the similarities.

Yupp, i know i missed the whole weekly thang but this new Wiz Khalifa song is just super dope to me for some reason. I like Wiz, he's cool. Could have more subject matter than bud every song, but that slight change for this should be a new direction for him. So chck it out, Wiz Khalifa - Fly Solo

Bruno Mars

So back in the day, when people sang (not to be confused with rapping), they made songs with substance and real instruments. Crazy...I know. As time kept moving on, some started to make songs with no substance, digital synthesizers and so on. Its happening in every genre and I admit tingly do it from time to time myself as an artist/beat maker...

Kid Cudi - Erase Me ft. Kanye West

Yeahh, so this is basically my favorite song at the moment. You know you're always gonna get something different from Cudi. Its been out for about 2 weeks now but the CDQ version finally leaked the other day, ENJOY!!

Originality?

Hey everyone, so i was having this lil discussion wit my boy Drew Baby. And he was saying if you can recognize someone's voice on the radio, that they are original. I disagreed saying that i can recognize waka flocka's voice on the radio but he isn't original at all. Sounds like every other wack rapper that makes "drug" music. And plus, Clear Channel only plays like 3 songs on the radio (mostly anything Young Money affiliated) so of course you will recognize someones voice after it being forced into your ears. It's still opinions at the end of the day, so if anyone has one or just wants to talk shit about mine, go for it.

Nicki Minaj

Alright, I tried to keep my mouth shut and not try to sound biased, but I just can't take it anymore. I have an opinion and its going to be stated... I can't stand Nicki Minaj. At all. She ruins songs and is just horrible. At first it was just because of the delivery. She sounded too much like lil kim and lil wayne had a baby when I first heard her. I let it slide 'cuz obviously the times are changing and its not so bad to have influences. The woman is just not saying anything tho. And I understand that theres a lot of rappers that don't have substance but dammnnnn. She ruined what could have been the best song on the drake album (Up All Night) with one of the worst verses of all time. "...I look like yes and you look like no". No Nicki, that won't cut it. You might look one way, but you sound like shit. Way too animated and she reaches on a lottt of her punchlines. And people, the "It's going down...bassment" is not a hot line. If I said "we going to the top...cieling" it wouldn't be hot either. So stop puttin it up on your facebook status'. I heard this new Trey Songz track earlier today and her verse on it was just unbearable. Sounded like a mentally challenged toddler. I give up!! Again this is just my opinion, you can call me a hater and I don't care. Shes making more money than I am...cool. I don't care. You can judge for urself tho...
